Important: This page explains how to permanently delete your F1 Reaction account and what data will be removed from our systems. An account is created when you sign in with Google to publish your reaction time to the leaderboard.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In-App Account Deletion (Recommended)

You can delete your account directly from the F1 Reaction app:

1Open the F1 Reaction app on your device
2Tap the profile icon in the top-left corner of the main screen
3Scroll down and tap on Delete Account
4Confirm your username to proceed with deletion
5Your account will be permanently deleted immediately

Method 2: Contact Us

If you cannot access the app or encounter issues with in-app deletion, you can request account deletion by email:

Please include:

The email address associated with your F1 Reaction account
Your username (if you remember it)
A clear request to delete your account

Response time: We will process your request within 30 days of receiving it.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

User Profile: Your user ID, username, email, display name, and profile photo
Authentication Data: Your Firebase Authentication account and session tokens
Leaderboard Entries: All your race and season reaction time scores published to the leaderboard

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Data Not Affected by Deletion

The following data is stored locally on your device and is not linked to your account:

Attempt counters: Remaining game attempts stored in your device's local storage. These are removed when you uninstall the app.

Data Retention

After account deletion, F1 Reaction does not retain any personally identifiable information. However:

Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (not linked to you) may be retained for app improvement purposes
Legal Compliance: We may retain certain data if required by law or to prevent fraud

No personal data that can identify you is retained after account deletion.
